Frequently asked questions
General answers: every case depends on the property and the city.
What should I do if I got a violation?
Keep the notice, note the deadline and hold off on more work in that area. Then write to us and we'll go over it with you.
What documents do I need?
The notice, photos of the work and, if you have them, earlier drawings or permits. If something is missing, we can still start. Don't send them through the form: we'll tell you how to share them.
Can you help with drawings?
Yes. We coordinate independent architects and engineers, and before we start we tell you in writing who bills for each service.
Is the permit guaranteed?
No. The local authority decides, and not all unpermitted work can be legalized as it stands. We tell you plainly which steps may be needed.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the project. After reviewing your case, we give you the price in writing before you decide.
How long does it take?
It depends on the city, the work and the reviews. The proposal lists the estimated stages.
What if a previous owner did the work?
We can help with that too. The steps depend on the property and the city.
Where do you work?
South Florida and Florida's west coast. Tell us the city and we'll confirm.
Do you give legal advice?
No. We are contractors. For legal questions about a fine or a hearing, see an attorney.
